This is a very well engineered solution to a fundamental flaw in Ducati design, confident I’ll not experience the issues related to the sprocket plate again…big thanks to you Ivan 🤩

Bought a very low mile 2009 BMW 1200GS. Just 21k miles on the clock, and everything looked pretty great during the purchase. Learned from other owners online that the plastic throttle cable pulleys are known to get brittle and crack, which prompted me to inspect mine. Sure enough, both sides were cracked in two places each.

Knowing that I intend to ride the bike in places without a cell phone signal, rescue for one of these falling apart on the trail would be an arduous affair. Rather than risking that, I ordered these Aluminum Throttle Pulleys from ATP.

The price is pretty steep, but they are going to be better than the ones 3D printed in plastic (again), so I followed the wise advice to fix it once.

Install was not complicated. And when I was done, I checked the throttke body balance with my TwinMax and it was exactly the same. That’s the sign of precision parts. I could not be happier.

After reset of adaptations and riding around 200 km with the new TPS installed, my BMW is running really, really well. The engine is now incredibly smooth, throttle response is crisp, and it picks up beautifully. The improvement compared to the worn original sensor is very noticeable.

I also received great support from Ivan at ATC. He took the time to answer my questions and provided helpful technical information throughout the process.

I’ve had poor throttle response and throttle sync for about two years and couldn’t figure it out. Then my plastic pullies broke and that’s it; you’re stranded. BMW wants ~ $700 USD x 2 for new throttle bodies. I got these for a fraction of the cost and they are better quality than OEM BMW parts. Bike runs like new. I would upgrade your bike preventively. If the plastic breaks, you will be stranded! 100% love this product!!

The throttle cams are of very high quality
Removing the old plastic cam was the hardest part.
Only because one of my plastic cams did not want to come off.
Fitting the new cams was very easy.
The instructions are very good

He said they were an amazing piece of machining and went together so easily. Couldn't believe how BMW could have put plastic ones in there.
