Secure Your Ride: Why Every Ducati Owner Needs a Better Sprocket Retainer
If you ride a Ducati Scrambler or Monster, there's one small part that plays a big role in your safety and drivetrain reliability — the front sprocket retainer. It may look like just a washer, but it’s far more critical than most riders realize.
🧩 What Is the Sprocket Retainer?
The sprocket retainer (or lock plate) is a small metal piece that holds the front sprocket in place on the output shaft. It keeps the sprocket from loosening and prevents drivetrain failure.
Ducati’s OEM retainers are often thin, prone to bending, and can wear out over time — especially under high torque or aggressive riding. In worst-case scenarios, a worn or failed retainer may allow the sprocket to shift or slip, leading to serious damage.
⚙️ Our CNC Upgrade: Engineered for Reliability
We’ve designed a replacement sprocket retainer made from CNC-machined 6082-T6 aluminum, anodized for corrosion resistance and long-term strength. Unlike thin factory units, our retainer is thicker, stiffer, and designed to hold under pressure.
- ✔️ No bending or distortion
- ✔️ Hard anodized for maximum protection
- ✔️ Precision-fit for Ducati spline shafts
- ✔️ Stronger and more durable than stock
Simple, effective, and made to last. CNC aluminium retainer available here.
